This is a modern, comfortable house with 2 bedrooms/bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, entertainment center, and lots of windows on the north side and west side facing the ocean. From the rooftop we have spectacular views of the ocean and coast line. Outside we have an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The house is right beside the malecon (walkway) for quick access to the beach (best access in Mirador).

Where/What is Mirador San Jose?
Our house is in a gated community called Mirador San Jose (MSJ). MSJ was built by a Canadian developer and features over 1500 lots. MSJ is located 40 km south of Manta, Ecuador in the province of Manabi. To the south of MSJ the nearest town is Puerto Cayo.

The Seasons and Climate of Ecuador
Being on the equator, the temperatures do not vary much during the year. Summertime (December to March) sees temperatures 27-30 degrees C. It has humidity because of the proximity to the Pacific, but it is NOT an oppressive humidity like in the Carribean. It is a comfortable heat similar to San Diego and southern California. Also, February and March are rainy season which means there will be some cloudy days and SOME rain during the day or night. It is never cold even when it rains. And the Pacific is ALWAYS very warm...you can swim in the water morning, afternoon or night and not get cold.
Winter months (June to September) can be cloudy/overcast with temperatures dropping to 22 or 23 degrees.
Whales can be seen from our house from July to October.
